This workshop will introduce you to Patient and Public Involvement (PPI) in Research and give you a basic understanding of what PPI in research is all about. Topics covered on this course include:
- What do we mean by ‘Patient and Public Involvement’
- Why do PPI?
- How to put together a PPI plan (for a funding application or existing project)
- Where to find public partners
- How to build trust and sustainable relationships
- How to work with under-served groups
- Budgeting for PPI
- Tips for success
The workshop provides an excellent opportunity to understand the practical aspects of involving patients and members of the public in research. Course attendees will have the opportunity to try some PPI design and plenty of time for questions and discussion.
This course will be delivered via MS Teams.
