This half-day course is designed to give practical guidance for setting up and running a Patient and Public Involvement (PPI) group for clinical research. In this course we will cover:
How to approach recruitment
“Behind the scenes” groundwork to help make your group a success
Different meeting formats – and whether a PPI group is right for your project
Building sustainable relationships with your public partners
Considerations for under-served groups
Budgeting for your PPI activities and non-monetary rewards
Capturing impact and involving your public partners in dissemination
Common problems and how to resolve them
This course will be delivered online via MS Teams.

Who the course is for
This course is designed for anyone planning to set up or already involved in supporting Patient and Public Involvement (PPI) groups within clinical research. A basic understanding of PPI is expected.
This course is designed for academic, public sector and charity workers and we are offering it at a discounted price for people working in those sectors.
