About the course
This course is the fourth step of six progressive steps to complete our elementary level in Gaelic.
In this course, which is taught in Gaelic, you will learn to describe people and objects, describe your routine at work, talk about your free time activities and speak about past events.
You will develop listening, speaking, reading and writing skills through a variety of learning activities in class and at home. Class-based activities include small-group role-plays, responding to short texts, listening to dialogues or watching video clips. Language learning requires regular practice, and you will consolidate your skills at home, with vocabulary, grammar and writing exercises.
This course is taught without a coursebook. You will be provided with all necessary course materials in class and on the learning platform.
You will also need access to a computer or another device with an internet connection to be able to use our learning platform.
What you'll learn
If you have fully engaged with all the learning activities and have attended regularly, by the end of the course, you should be able to:
- Describe people and objects
- Describe your routine and work, and where this is
- Talk about how you are feeling and whether you are ill
- Talk about spare-time activities you like or do not like doing
- Have a short conversation in the past tense
The above list is indicative and may be subject to change.
