Helping you to submit a successful NHS Research Ethics application

This course provides step-by-step guidance on the ethical review process, including details on what to do before submitting an application, during the committee meeting and after gaining ethical approval.  Research Ethics Committee (REC) staff and members will provide advice on submitting the correct paperwork and their opinions on what information is required for a successful application.

By the end of this course, learners should: 

• Gain an understanding of when NHS ethical approval is required or not
• Understand the process for applying for NHS ethics review
• Discuss ethical issues with research ethics committee members
• Comprehend the range of issues the research ethics committee members consider when reviewing applications
